Importance of Net Involvement
1. NET Groups allow people to learn and grow in the company of like minded people who have the same needs, face the same challenges and share the same interest, identity and language.
* Men ministering to men
* Women ministering to women
* Couples ministering to couples
* Youth ministering to youth
2. NET Groups/Discipleship program is about role models and teaching by example.
Only so much can be achieved by cross gender role models.
- A man cannot model to a woman how to be a godly wife.
- A woman cannot demonstrate to a man how to be a Bible pattern husband.
- A young man cannot model to a young woman how to be a godly woman.
- A young woman cannot model to a young man how to be a godly young man.
- Single people cannot demonstrate to couples how to be Bible pattern couples.
3. The gospel (evangelism and discipleship) travels fastest along NET Groups.
- In the vision, Men’s, Women’s, Youth’s and Couples’ Nets help multiply our efforts in soul winning and disciple making.
- The Net meetings are a very powerful means of winning people to Christ.
4. Nets will facilitate encouraging learning experiences. Synergy happens when we set our hearts on a shared goal and work as a team to reach it. There is continuous growth, quality and quantity assurance.
5. During Net meetings, some issues are addressed corporately and everyone hears the same thing at the same time building stronger and stronger unity.
6. Being a member of a Net will further bring you to a level of Ministry involvement either in Church Development Networks or Life group Networks.
7. In NET Groupings, Friendship, Commitment and Accountability will be established.
8. NET Groups offer many opportunities to eachindividual who would like to walk in the purpose that God has created them to walk in.
CELL GROUP WITHIN THE NET
WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR CELL GROUP?
OBJECTIVES:
- To strengthen and enhance the concept of homogenous networks within the JIL Church.
- To gather and encourage the congregation to be part of the net group where they will be able to learn, grow through a spiritual and emotional support system that the NETS will provide.
- To introduce the “NETS” as another level of ministry. Just as fish are brought into a net, believers are also gathered and encouraged to win the lost via the "nets".
- The vision is often presented as running the cells along the homogeneous principle.
