    The JIL Toronto began with the fellowships of 7 sisters who arrived in Canada from Hongkong year 1990-1991. Having the mission and vision implanted in their hearts and because of love for the Lord, they began evangelizing for souls. Until this 7 multiplied to 70 times 7 more and more and more. And for about 13 years, the Jesus Is Lord Church Torronto has been renting and moving from one place of worship to another. Nonetheless, our dedicated brothers and sisters never grew tired of transporting musical instruments and other important equipment from the church to their respective apartments and homes. It was their devoted sacrificial act of love for God and His service. Throughout the seeming ordeal, we never ceased from praying and fasting that one day we would have our own church building. Truly God turned His ears to our pleas and He divinely intervened!

    In August 2003, the leadership of JIL Toronto met with Pastor Bong Gonzales, a dynamic and a visionary servant of God and plan for the purchase of our own church building. It was one of the most exciting meetings ever. Everyone captured the vision and supported its fulfillment – financially, spiritually, and even materially. Things needed were prepared for the project. True enough, we were not able to out-give God. For on 28th of February 2004, He blessed us with the property that we all prayed and sowed for- the first church building for JIL Canada!

        It was the selfless partnership of JIL Churches all over Canada that led to the realization of this mighty favor from the Lord. Likewise, our mother church in the Philippines had tremendous impact on the dedication of our leaders and members to make our vision possible.

    At present, aside from the three (3) Sunday services we have in main Totonto, we also have services conducted in JIL Scarborough, JIL Mississauga, JIL St. Catharines, JIL Kitchener, JIL Montreal and JIL Otawa as part of the Ontario-Quebec Area 3 under Rev. Ptr. Bong Gonzales. Also, the JIL12 System has been adopted and Encounters has started.
The JIL Toronto is well known for their gift of generosity, for being prayerful and of our songs of Praise and Worships that even Baptist group when they hear us sing our songs for the Lord, will clap their hands, dance and shout “Halleluiah!”

    Indeed, our God is Faithful!
