            In the time when the JIL Ministry was vastly spreading, the town of Navotas responded to the call of the JIL Spiritual Director, Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva, to establish bible studies in every town. Home churches were put in Wawa in Brgy. Tangos and in Apahap St., Daanghari. Raul Ternida, Raul Gonzales, and Anselmo Velasco were the coordinators back then. After less than two (2) years of conducting Bible studies in Daanghari, it was later transferred to the ancestral house of then Attorney, now Congresswoman Chona Cruz Gonzales, because of frequent high tides. As the years went by, the home church in Wawa continually increased in membership, which eventually led to a formal Sunday Service.
 
            Problems arose because of the frequent unavailability of the place. Sunday Services were then accommodated by the Navotas Municipal High School. It was held in the school ground led by Pastor Anselmo Velasco with the assistance of Bro. Boy Frilles. After a few months of holding Worship Services, enduring the inconvenience of the place, the people being mostly exposed to elements, God blessed the people of Navotas, when they were allowed to occupy the Navotas Sports Complex. About a couple of years later, in 1989, the services of JIL Malabon and JIL Navotas were combined as one district at Ultravista Cinema to strengthen the fellowship and they were headed by Ptr. Elmo Velasco as District Pastor, who was later replaced by Ptr. Louie Otayde. Three years later the leadership was handed to  Ptr. George C. Cayanan.

            The increasing number of people attending the 2 services in Malabon-Navotas compelled the leadership to recommend the separation of Navotas from Malabon, totally independent of one another. From that time on, it was held in Sombilon Compound at Interior Gonzales, San Jose in January 1997. But it was opposed by the neighborhood because of the distractive noise. They then retaliated by throwing water with mud in front of the place during worship services. Blessing after a few months, the ministry acquired a bigger place in a strategic location along Poblacion Navotas and across the Municipal Hall. For about three years it was occupied under Pastor George Cayanan. During the time when he took over Pastoral work in Canada, Pastor Ruding Babiano was assigned to be the pastor JIL Navotas.

            It was in November 2001 during the Anniversary Celebration of JIL Malabon and Navotas, Sis. Dory Villanueva appointed Pastor Donato Santiago as Church Pastor of Navotas Chapter. After less than a year, the rent became unreasonable. God then provided another place - the Monroy Bldg. in San Jose, Navotas. The Church went through various trials and tolerable conflicts. God allowed these things to expose the heart of the people. In spite of these things, the leadership, because of the grace of God, is still intact.

            After four years, the father of one of our key workers offered their newly constructed building located at 818 M. Naval St. Navotas where the JIL Church Navotas is now occupying.

            The JIL church Navotas is presently under the care of Pastor Donato C. Santiago. The church is headstrong and immovable in the face of the daunting task of strengthening its spirituality by focusing on the JIL Mission/Vision and Core values.

            Presently, aside from the two services held at the JIL Navotas main church, there are two outreaches holding worship services every Sunday at different time schedules, one in Brgy. Tanza and another one in Brgy. Tangos. Part of our growing ministry, 26 cell groups in different parts of the town are being conducted by 21 cell leaders with sufficient Discipleship and Leadership trainings.
