       The Jesus Is Lord Church, Mangaldan Chapter started in the year 1989 when the Robles family opened their home for a Bible Study led by Sis.Irene Cayabyab Estrada together with some JIL Dagupan Workers. With the visionary spirit of this circle of believers, JIL Mangaldan became a realization in 1992.

        The Mangaldan Bakery, owned by the Robles Family became the first sanctuary of the JIL people where they learned of the full and clear knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual things. Bong Nicolas was the first Pastor who handled the congregation and during his stay, he was able to train 5 workers. After taking care of the flock for a few months, he was then replaced by Ptra. Jacqueline de Vera for 5 years. Within these years, the JIL church had to move from one place to another because of the increasing number of attendees. The first transfer was at the Mangaldan I Central School, then later, at the Macario Ydia Development Center (MYDC).

        In the year 1996, Pastor Bayani Q. Legaspi from Marikina felt there was a very strong calling for him to go to Pangasinan to continue the ministry. With burning faith in his heart and the assurance that the Lord will always be with him he responded to God’s call. The dedication and zeal of Ptr. Bayani together with his wife inspired the followers to work with the same enthusiasm. The JIL church went on with its calling, goals, visions, and dreams. The ministry then was in Frianeza Street. When the expansion of the ministry could no longer be stopped, the church moved to a bigger place at Salay, Mangaldan.

        April 2000 was a great and memorable month for JIL Mangaldan. They had to vacate the Worship Center at Salay to transfer to the best dwelling place that God had provided them. With the Lord’s Grace and the joint efforts of the JIL Family, they were able to build a church in Ydia Street, Poblacion, Mangaldan which has a much bigger capacity although they are renting the said property. At present, a total of 410 members attend the worship center.

        This is just the beginning of a longer journey…and as they travel, the Lord’s strength will always be with them. As His Words say “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth will draw all men unto Me” (John 12:32). Indeed, it was the Lord who molded the Jesus Is Lord Church Mangaldan.
