         JIL Las Piñas started its first Home Bible Study in 1984 which was first held at Tato’s residence in Manggahan Road corner Burgos Street, Pamplona. Until Bro. Efren Liwanag was requested to handle the said Home Bible Study. An increasing number of attendees was experienced and soon after, Bro. Efren was appointed territorial head of JIL Las Piñas and Muntinlupa. Throughout those years of working in the ministry, he was still working in one of the offices in Makati.

          From Manggahan, the Bible Study was transferred in Mabini Street of the same barangay at the residence of Bro. Henry and Vicky Alcantara. The place was a bigger and better one that can occupy more than 50 people. The fervency and aggressiveness of the leaders and workers paved the way to experience an enormous growth in the ministry. After thorough prayer and consultation, the leadership unanimously agreed to let the Bible study be opened as a Sunday worship service.

          The latter part of 1990 marked the historic event in JIL Las Piñas because the first Sunday worship service was held at Josie’s Restaurant by the grace and mercy of the Almighty God. After a month, the worship service moved to a more spacious area at Ling House Restaurant located along the National Road in Pamplona. On September 2, 1990 the church was able to rent a permanent place at No. 3 F.V Ocampo Avenue, Pamplona 3 where the area can be utilized everyday for various church activities. The site is a strategic one since it is located at the urban center of Las Piñas. Over the years, attendees grew quantitatively as well as qualitatively that led for the opening of two more Sunday Services. JIL Las Piñas was the first to experience a fully air-conditioned Sunday worship service from all the JIL chapters within Metro Manila. This was brought by the spirit of generosity displayed by the faithful congregation. By 2001, JIL Las Pinas Chapter was formally assigned to Bro. Efren Liwanag who became the appointed church pastor.

          Presently, the JIL Pamplona has 13 community Bible Studies, two (2) Sunday worship services with an average attendance of 300 plus members every week. The leaders and workers are dedicated and united striving for maturity as God gave them the zealousness in the ministry works. JIL Las Piñas also offers quality Christian education for the pre- school level for twelve (12) years.
